Leasowes Miniature Railway is a 7¼" gauge single track line running for approximately 400 yards along the towpath of Dudley No 2 canal. The line overlooks woodland and Breaches Pool. The railway is owned and operated by ex BR fireman Martin Male, who laid the original track in the summer of 1990. The railway operates every Sunday and Bank Holiday's throughout the year if weather permits. Rides are hauled by either the steam loco "Prince Edward", or diesel loco "William Shenstone". Car park and children's play area nearby. NOTE: Due to constant vandalism and theft of rail track, this line has not operated for a number of years. However the website will remain here for historical purposes only.
PRINCE EDWARD STEAM LOCO
"PRINCE EDWARD"
Freelance design, 2 cyl, 2-6-2 prairie tender loco, built at Northampton by G.Gower in 1936. The loco weighs 8cwt, with a maximum boiler pressure of 110 psi.

It is pictured in its former colour of brunswick green.
WILLIAM SHENSTONE DIESEL LOCO
"WILLIAM SHENSTONE"
This loco was built by the owner in 1990. It is an overscale design of the BR Class 50 numbered 50021.

Powered by a 700cc petrol engine, with differential drive to wheels, it weighs 4 cwt, and is finished in light blue.
